The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project opens the path to peace for Armenia and the South Caucasus region. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday stated this during a joint press briefing with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan.
The press briefing was preceded by the signing of documents on cooperation in the TRIPP project, as well as in the mining and processing of minerals.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Rubio noted that it was an honor for him to sign the framework agreement on strategic cooperation between the US and Armenia within the framework of the TRIPP project. He stated that this is another historic step and a path to peace for Armenia and the region.
According to him, this cooperation is not limited to this, and the primary task is to develop relations for the benefit of the two peoples. And for this purpose, a document on the extraction and processing of the most important minerals was signed. According to Rubio, in the 21st century, this sector provides economic independence and access to new technologies. They are ready to work together so that the economies of Armenia and the US have reliable access to minerals, added the US Secretary of State.
According to him, the activities of the Armenian team open a path to a better future for Armenia. They are happy to support it, are ready to work for the future, are proud to be a part of it, and are ready to do more together, Rubio noted.
