Moscow expects Armenia to participate in the upcoming Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) events in Astana in one way or another, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday.

“If I’m not mistaken, [Armenian] Prime Minister [Nikol] Pashinyan cannot participate due to the [parliamentary] election campaign. But at the same time, we expect that one way or another the Armenian side will still participate in that extremely important meeting, continuing its membership in the EAEU,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.
