Armenia will not take any actions that could harm Russia's interests. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on vacation, announced this on Wednesday while conducting an election campaign—ahead of the June 7 parliamentary elections— for the ruling Civil Contract party in Shnogh village of Lori Province.

"We will not take any drastic actions in our relations with Russia. I have friendly relations with the Russian president. Since 2018 to this day, we have had about 200 phone conversations," Pashinyan said.

According to him, Russia is a superpower and should be treated with respect.

"That is exactly how I treat—not only Russia, but also the Russian president. I tell them one thing: we [i.e. Armenia] have not done and will not do anything to harm their interests. We cannot treat Russia's interests higher than our interests; this is a legitimate position. We will not enter into a disagreement and antagonism, let alone a war of words, with Russia. High-level dialogue will continue," the Armenian premier added.
