When a person retires, the state makes him understand that he is no longer needed—but we cannot abandon that potential. We must engage these people in the development of the state so that they can transfer their knowledge to the youth and universities, thereby ensuring the connection of generations. Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, who heads the Wings of Unity party’s proportional representation list of parliamentary candidates for the National Assembly election on June 7, stated this on Facebook Monday.

Tatoyan called the aforesaid a wrong approach. “We have no right to allow such a luxury,” he added.

According to Tatoyan, due to the current approach, many specialists in various fields who have dedicated their lives to the development of the Armenian state feel unneeded, although many of them want to continue their mission.
