The final draft of a possible US-Iran deal brokered by Pakistan is expected to be released within hours, sources told Al Arabiya television, the latter reports.
Al Arabiya has obtained exclusive access to its key terms, which include the following:
* An immediate, comprehensive, and unconditional ceasefire on all fronts, including land, sea and air,
* A mutual commitment not to target military, civilian, or economic infrastructure,
* A cessation of hostilities and information warfare,
* Commitments to respect sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in internal affairs,
* Guarantees of freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman,
* A joint mechanism for monitoring implementation and dispute resolution,
* Negotiations on outstanding issues to begin within seven days,
* A gradual lifting of US sanctions in exchange for Iran’s adherence to the terms of the agreement,
* The draft agreement reaffirms compliance with international law and the UN Charter.
The agreement shall enter into force immediately, as soon as both sides officially declare it.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had told reporters on Thursday that there had been some good signs in the talks, but there could be no solution if Iran introduced a system of tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.
