Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is doing everything in parallel, and if he is re-elected, he will start everything: “Basargechar, Gyokcha,” Syunik and “Erivan” will be given Azerbaijani names. Strong Armenia bloc’s prime ministerial candidate, businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan stated this in a conversation with a political teammate on Tuesday, commenting on the statements made by the Armenian authorities during the election campaign and possible territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.

Karapetyan stated that the handover of several Armenian villages to Azerbaijani under the pretext of “border delimitation” is a chain of unilateral concessions, which could open the door to the implementation of the resettlement program for up to one million Azerbaijanis in Armenia. He said that the alarming statements made by the Armenian authorities have nothing to do with standard election campaign, but are dictated by real concern, since they clearly see and feel the dangerous actions of the authorities.

Samvel Karapetyan did not consider the recent visits of representatives of foreign power centers to Yerevan to be accidental, noting that their goal is to take over Armenia “in a soft way” with the help of Pashinyan.

Separately, Karapetyan noted that both he and the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, are currently under continued illegal pressure, but expressed hope that all this will soon end, and “those who do this will not be happy.”

Commenting on the espionage accusations leveled against him by Pashinyan two days ago, Strong Armenia bloc’s PM candidate sarcastically noted that the head of the Armenian executive branch of power makes different statements “under different doses.” Karapetyan added that even if he is a spy, he is a spy of only the Armenian people, and Pashinyan is simply worried that every week the Armenian opposition exposes his illegal actions and weak steps that have brought Armenia to the brink of the abyss.

“As for himself, Nikol Pashinyan, it is better for him to decide how many countries he is a spy of, at least two of which are unfriendly countries,” concluded Samvel Karapetyan.
