Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on Monday’s incident involving Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and a woman in Yerevan.

Zakharova posted a harsh reaction on her Telegram channel, reflecting to the Armenian premier’s remarks to a woman during a public argument.

“Pashinyan to an Armenian citizen: ‘Say thank you that they didn’t break your head in the toilet next door right now.’ [French President Emmanuel] Macron and [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy’s [recent] visit to Yerevan did not remain without consequences: ‘European values’ are evident,” Zakharova wrote.

The comment by the Russian MFA spokesperson was made regarding an incident actively being discussed in Armenian society, during which Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan got into an argument with a woman in Yerevan, and used harsh and threatening expressions.
