Armenia has exported weapons to the international market this year. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on vacation and heads the ruling Civil Contract party’s electoral list for the parliamentary election on June 7, announced this during their election campaign in Ararat city Thursday.

According to him, Armenia has entered the international arms market.

Pashinyan invited voters to the military parade on May 28, after which some of the equipment, including locally produced models, will be displayed in the area adjacent to Yerevan’s Republic Square.

He added that after the nationalization of the Ararat Cement factory, the matter of attracting private investors will be resolved through an international, open, and transparent tender. Pashinyan assured that the Armenian state, following the example of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, will have a stake in the Ararat Cement factory, too. He said the previous deal conducted regarding the factory was a fraud. “That theft will be returned to the state,” he noted.

Also, Nikol Pashinyan assured that since 2018, the Armenian authorities have provided about $1 billion in assistance to people to purchase homes, including within the framework of housing construction programs being implemented in the border villages of Yeraskh and Paruyr Sevak in Ararat Province.
