Oil prices are falling sharply on Monday morning on optimism over a possible agreement between the US and Iran to resolve the Middle East conflict.

Brent oil futures for July delivery fell $5.94 (5.74%) to $97.60 a barrel on the ICE Futures stock exchange in London. On Friday’s trading session, they had risen $0.96 (0.94%) to $103.54 a barrel.

WTI oil futures for July delivery fell $5.97 (6.18%) to $90.63 a barrel in online trading at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). In the previous trading session, they had increased by $0.25 (0.26%), reaching $96.6 per barrel.
