Iran cannot yet say it is close to signing an agreement with the US, but there are solutions on a significant number of issues, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)b spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.

“The fact that we have reached a result on a significant number of issues is true, but this does not mean that anyone can claim that signing an agreement is close,” Baghaei said during a press briefing Monday.

Also, he noted that the memorandum being developed with the US includes a clause on the cessation of hostilities “on all fronts,” including in Lebanon.

In addition, Iran’s MFA spokesperson reiterated their previous position that Tehran is not currently discussing Iran’s nuclear program with Washington.

Furthermore, Baghaei noted that the Iranian side is not planning to send a delegation to Pakistan at this time, nor are there any plans to host a new Pakistani delegation.
