Armenia needs amnesty, declared Agnesa Khamoyan, an MP of the "Hayastan [(Armenia)]" bloc, during an election meeting with the residents of Vayk town.
"A little while ago we were passing by Tigranashen [village, also known as Karki], and a picture came to my mind: what will happen if the [incumbent Armenian ] authorities hand it over [to Azerbaijan]? The authorities have already made that announcement. [PM] Nikol Pashinyan has announced that if re-elected [in the parliamentary election on June 7], he is going to hand over territories. Tigranashen will end up under the control of the Azerbaijanis. You will go to Yerevan under the ‘magnifying glass’ of the Azerbaijanis. Are you ready for that?" Khamoyan asked the residents of Vayk, adding that the people should not repeat the mistake made in 2021 parliamentary election in Armenia.
Speaking about the “Hayastan” bloc's program, the opposition lawmaker noted that the Armenian authorities have been trying to convince people for years that they are close to them. "Do you believe in their sincerity? Do you know that the last time an amnesty was declared was in 2018? The best manifestation of humanity is an amnesty. In that case, why aren’t they declaring one?” Khamoyan asked..
“Yesterday I was watching a video about how the [Armenian] opposition allegedly bribed the Russians so that the latter would ban the import of Armenian products to Russia. I want to understand: who do you [i.e. the Armenian authorities] these [Armenian] people are. Do you really think that people are so naive that they will believe it? Well, let’s imagine that this is so. If the [Armenian] opposition is so strong, where are you looking [[i.e. the Armenian authorities]] and what do you represent?” the MP asked.
Khamoyan noted that all this is a consequence of Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan’s desire to get a few photos with and “likes” from Europeans for which he is ready to sell the entire Armenian nation.
Also, she recalled Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov’s statement on the price of Russian natural gas in Armenia. “We [i.e. Armenia] will pay for all this. Pashinyan will neither pay nor bear responsibility,” Khamoyan noted, expressing a conviction that the people of Armenia will not agree to Pashinyan’s remaining in power in the country for the third time.
