Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is conducting an election campaign in Ararat Province, Factor TV reports.

Factor TV recorded in the village of Verin Artashat of the province that a special event was organized to welcome Pashinyan. It was coordinated by Karlen Mkrtchyan, the ruling Civil Contract party-member mayor of Artashat city.

The students of the Artashat Cultural House also took part in the welcoming ceremony. The director of the cultural house, Ninel Gabrielyan, and its choreographer were giving instructions to the children on how to beat the drum, count to 16, and pronounce No. 16—the ruling party’s number on the parliamentary election ballot—with a special intonation.

Factor TV asked Ninel Gabrielyan several questions, but she declined to answer.

The students of the Verin Artashat school said that they finished their classes earlier than planned today in order to be present at the meeting with Pashinyan. They were waving the flags of Armenia and the ruling party. The children also had blue smoke machines, and as Pashinyan approached, the blue smoke—used as a symbol by the ruling party—rose into the sky.
