The progressive centrist Alliance Party has submitted an application to cancel the registration of its electoral list. NEWS.am was informed about this by the Central Election Commission.

The Central Election Commission will convene an open session to discuss canceling the registration of the electoral list.

"All those parties that have no chance of overcoming the minimum threshold and yet continue to remain in the election race are providing the votes necessary for Nikol and his treacherous group to win. Nikol has no other way to reproduce his power. Without wasting the resources, time, health, nerves, and money invested, we are withdrawing from the race, proving that the Alliance Party is a real, non-systemic opposition force, while retaining the commitment to radical struggle and to forming a popular wave if, God forbid, they win these elections," Alliance Party chairman Tigran Urikhanyan said on Public Television.
